When it comes to pickleball strategy, heed this advice from Coach Steve:
1. Have a Plan, Work a Plan – Communicate with your partner and create a strategy together. Make sure both you and your partner are on the same page and have bought into the same strategy.
2. If the Strategy Is Not Working, Change It – If your strategy is not effective, do not be afraid to change it. Consider even taking a timeout, which can be an easy way to regroup and change the momentum of a game. Communicate with your partner and change your plan. Give your opponents a different look.
3. Be a Team – Again, communicate with your partner. Be a team, be patient, and work together. Lean on each other and be a motivator for each other.
4. Find Your Support Team – If you need an extra boost, lean on your friends, family, and support team who are at the courts to cheer you on. Feed off of their energy! Maybe you can even grab a few tips or words of advice from your support team between games or during a timeout, too.
